My name is Terry K. and believe me, there is life after debt. I know, I’ve been there.

I am a recovering compulsive gambler and I lost my family, my home, my job, and even my freedom due to becoming a compulsive gambler. I have written about life as a compulsive gambler from the dark side to give you an inside look to help you help someone you care about who may be suffering from a gambling addiction. I’ve been to the gates of prison, insanity, and attempted suicide. Don’t let it happen to you or a loved one.

I started my adult life as a successful professional, happily married with children, building the good life and living the American Dream. Sound familiar? That was before the lure of the casino an the thrill of the bet infected my life and turned me into a liar, a cheat, and a thief.

After 1488 days (4 yrs-1 mo) on home confinement for committing illegal acts to support a compulsive gambling habit, I have climbed out of the devastation and ruin that most compulsive gamblers live through to become a productive and successful member of society. It’s a long and hard road to follow, but it can be done. I did it and so can you!
